Events
Do I need to know how to play?
Not to come to a class — that's where you'll learn. For social nights and open play, plenty of people are learning as they go, and we'll match you based on skill level.
Can I come on my own?
Yes, we welcome you to come on your own, or meet people while you're there. Join us to mingle and meet other Mahjong enthusiasts!
Do events fill up?
Definitely! Book ahead to guarantee your seat at the table. We cannot wait to welcome you!
What if I need to cancel?
We ask that you cancel/reschedule 24 hours prior to your booking to avoid being charged for your reservation.
We accept cancellations without a fee up to 12 hours in advance on tables and up to 8 hours in advance on single seats.
Is there an age requirement?
We look to welcome all ages to our space. Anyone under the age of 16 can come anytime provided that they are accompanied by an adult.
For our mini mahjers (ages 10+), we have convenient times for open play and of course, we look forward to celebrating private events with everyone. To book a table or an event for children 10+ please contact the studio directly.
Where do I park?
Pull up a chair and pull into a parking spot! Oakhurst Commons offers unlimited free parking just outside our front door or behind our building.We have plenty of parking, both in front of our studio facing Monroe Rd. or in the parking lot behind our building.
Private Events
Can we bring our own food or catering?
For private events, yes! We will work with you to host an event that is inspired by you.
We are also excited to partner with Babe and Butcher to offer daily morning and evening charcuterie selections at the studio. Snack boxes are available for preorder in our booking tool and we will also have light snacks available on site for purchase.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Cheers to Bird Bam! We have curated wine, seltzer and beer options on site for purchase. No outside alcohol is permitted.
